“I just finished my fourth week of the IPL and I’m beyond impressed. My leg hairs have notably thinned out and are extremely slow to grow back.
Normally after shaving my legs are spiky within 24 hours but it now takes 4-5 days.
I really like the sensor on the side that detects the skin and how high it should go for your skin colour.
It can get slightly warm whilst holding but I just take a break between each leg. It would be great if they came with protective glasses as they really need to be worn as the flashes are very intense.
I do like though that it’s easy to hold and very light. As I’ve gone through my treatment regime it’s become easier and faster to use as I get the hang of it.”

How does Braun IPL work?
The device uses Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) technology to gently heat the hair follicles and zap them at the root. It sends them into their “resting state” and eventually the hair stops growing altogether. It means that in time you’ll be able to replace your usual hair removal routine for good.
Will it give me permanent results?
Yes, IPL technology permanently reducing hair regrowth. Usually you’ll see that in the first few weeks your hair grows back much finer and lighter in colour. Then after your initial treatment plan (which is usually 12 weeks), you’ll notice your hair grows back much sparser or hair regrowth slows right down.
An IPL device won’t stop your hair growing forever, but you should only need to complete top-up treatments with your device every 4-8 weeks - which is a huge difference to shaving 2-5 times a week!
