Which Home Hair Removal Device is Right For Me

In this video, Emily takes us on a whistlestop tour of some of her favourite hair removal devices currently available from CURRENTBODY.com. If you're nervous about investing in one of these hair removal devices, Emily's video is essential viewing for busting through the jargon and understanding how each device works.

The hair removal devices featured in the video are:

iluminage Beauty TOUCH

This salon-inspired device is a great all-rounder, and one of Emily's favourites. It's suitable for use on the face (below the cheeks) and the entire body. As Emily mentions in the video, there are two methods of treatment: the stamp treatment for precision hair removal, and the glide method, which is perfect for use on larger areas. This speeds up the process while also allowing spot treatment of trouble areas.

SmoothSkin Gold

SmoothSkin Gold

The SmoothSkin Gold is the only FDA approved home IPL device for treating the body and the face, meaning you can treat any area from the cheeks down. This device uses IPL entirely and it is the quickest device on the market in terms of resetting itself – some devices take a little longer between flashes, but the SmoothSkin Gold only takes one second.

Tria Hair Removal Precision Laser

The Tria device uses a laser instead of IPL. This device is ideal for facial hair removal and for the treatment of smaller areas such as the underarm or bikini line. As this is the precision device, we wouldn't recommend it for treating larger areas as it would just take far too long, and other devices are much faster. However, if you're just looking for a compact device to zap unwanted, stray hairs.

Silk'n Flash & Go Luxx

This device has three treatment levels and comes with two heads: the larger treatment head, and the precision head, making it a great investment for an all-over body treatment. It might not have all of the bells and whistles that some of the other devices have, but it really is a great place to start for those on a budget.
