The SmoothSkin Pure Fit works by using powerful flashes of light to actually kill some hair follicles. Over time, with regular use, more and more of those hair follicles die - leading to permanent hair loss in areas where you want to be bare.
The SmoothSkin Pure Fit takes it one step further to prevent skin damage. It has a UV filter to block harmful rays and 10 intensity settings. The skin sensor checks your placement before each flash to deliver a bespoke treatment. And with 3 modes to choose from, you can go gentle if you have sensitive skin.

Who Can Use SmoothSkin?
The chart shows the skin tones that are suitable for IPL treatment, these are skin tones I to V on the Fitzpatrick Scale. IPL is not suitable for skin tone VI, so you should not use the device on very dark skin tones as this may cause damage to the skin.
IPL is effective on naturally black, brown and darker blonde hair colours, but may not be as effective on red, white, grey or very light blonde hair. White and grey hair does not contain enough melanin to absorb light energy. Red hair contains a different type of melanin which is not responsive to IPL.

How to use:
1. Prep the area by completing a patch test and wax or epilate to ensure the skin is hair-free.
2. After 24 hours, make sure the skin is clean and dry.
3. Use SmoothSkin Pure to steadily glide over the treatment area for even coverage.
4. For best results, we recommend using every week for 12 weeks, with maintenance top-ups every 4 to 8 weeks after that.
Contraindications:
DO NOT try to open SMOOTHSKIN PURE, as this may expose you to dangerous electrical components.

DO NOT USE if you have had a skin peel treatment on the area you wish to treat. Please wait 30 days after a skin peel before treating with SMOOTHSKIN PURE.Treating tanned skin with Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) may result in permanent Hyperpigmentation (Darkening) or Hypopigmentation (lightening) of the treated skin.
DO NOT USE If you have a known sensitivity to sunlight (photosensitivity) or are taking medication that makes the skin more sensitive and causes photosensitivity, and/or topical retinoids. Hair removal by lasers or intense pulse light sources can cause increased hair growth in some individuals. Based upon currently available data, the highest risk groups for this response are females of Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, and South Asian heritage treated on the face and neck.

DO NOT use SMOOTHSKIN PURE device on man's face, jaw, or neck. The hair in a man's beard area is too dense and using SMOOTHSKIN PURE device in these areas may result in skin injury.

After 5 weeks my hair growth is significantly less. I find the device get hot very quickly and I need to take breaks (fully unplug it) to let it cool. I have found starting with sensitive areas first is best as lower legs aren’t bother by the hotness as quickly. I wish the device came with eye protection as I do feel the it affects my eyes. I’ve gotten go enough that I can look away or close my eye now but.. Overall I’m glad I made this purchase as the results are very good.

As a guy who's gone from a full body wax and Hollywood to this device couldn't have possibly made my life better. Not only it the Smoothskin Pure Fit at a price of one full body wax session, but the simplicity of ease means no more expensive appointments, meager wax results, and several weeks covered in hair waiting for the next appointment.
It's beach season so most want to feel their best and live their best life, and that's where the SmoothSkin IPL comes in. Used twice a week "everywhere" hair grows, now for 12 sessions, my hair has not only thinned, but the hair has the consistency of spider silk now. At the 7 day mark it's basically only stubble. A far difference than the results from shaving, when thats day 2 for most. Even the normally coarse Hollywood region which does take a few more sessions has achieved the same results too.
With the auto sensing capability of the device to ensure you're getting the best results no matter the area, or the highest rated output I've seen from virtually all IPLs in the price field, means you'll get your best results in the shortest amount of time.
Far too many other IPLs run an output level so low that it means twice as many sessions, as twice as long to achieve your desired results. Definitely not the case with Pureskin. The pain yes does feel like the snapping of an elastic band in sensitive areas, but still less discomfort than waxing, and body waxing never made me flinch. This is a amazing machine and gives amazing results but it's difficult to use on small areas as Upper lip on chin etc as won't work unless flat on skin ..ideal for armpits legs arms results after just 1 use
